A master at building key influential relationships. Trained as a buyer for a major national retailer and then became a manufacturers representative. He established top relationships with manufacturers of food products, and clothing. He was appointed as the first American Agent for Deacon & Co. The Hong Kong based English Trading Company first established in 1856 in China. He was instrumental in developing and creating private label programs for such retailers and distributors as Dayton Hudson Corporation, Target Stores, Walmart, JC Penney, Core Mark, Farner Bocken, and SuperValu Stores.
He then became an importer of food products /exporter of medical equipment to Central America and the Middle East. Working with key families in those markets.
He is an Experienced Owner/ Entrepreneur with a demonstrated history of working in the Manufacturing, Wholesale and Retail industry. Highly skilled in Negotiation, Consumer Products, Retail, and Advertising.
Seasoned sales and marketing professional with 40 plus years of experience in the wholesale, retail, and consumer products industries. Creative, innovative and persuasive in developing and implementing account business plans to achieve win/win results.
Howard is a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a degree in Business Administraton from Carlson School and a minor in European Diplomatic History from University College. He has been brought up in the manufacturing business by both sides of his family starting at age 16. One in clothing manufacturing and the other in the Food/Bakery industry
